Caleb has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, a condition that can become critical at times. Maddie explained, “This past Feb-May things got REALLY dicey. Ultimately that is what made us decide to close that chapter. Though, if his health changed, I cannot guarantee I would not change my mind.”

Currently, Caleb’s kidney function is at 24%. Maddie shared that if it declines to 20%, they will need to consider a kidney transplant. It’s understandable that this situation is causing them anxiety, but they are facing it with strength and resilience. Fans have rallied around them, offering support and prayers.

Facing the Future with Hope

The revelation of Caleb’s condition has been met with shock and concern from fans. While the news is undoubtedly difficult, Maddie’s openness and Caleb’s strength are inspiring. Although a kidney transplant may be in their future, they are remaining optimistic and focused on each day.
