A chilling new Coronation Street trailer has fans talking, hinting that a long-awaited turning point may finally be approaching. As tensions rise and secrets begin to unravel, viewers are starting to believe that Megan could soon face the consequences of her actions — and the atmosphere in Weatherfield has never felt more intense.
Time runs out for abuser Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) in Coronation Street this month, with a new promo trailer confirming that her dark and manipulative nature as a predator is finally exposed.
It’s a moment fans have waited for, as the teacher has been grooming student Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) for months, with Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) thus far the only resident of the eponymous Street who has put two and two together.
In a bid to keep her secret hidden, vile Megan adopted a particularly cruel approach to dealing with Sam, taking delight in pulling his character apart in the hopes of discrediting him should a time come when she needs to defend herself.
Sam has been under a great deal of stress ever since, fearing that his attempt to catch Megan out would come back to haunt him after she threatened to report him for recording her, branding him a ‘pervert’.
But the end is nigh for the abuser, with upcoming scenes set to see Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) suspicions piqued as she launches an investigation to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
In shock scenes, she uncovers the truth about Megan’s abuse of Will – and her campaign of cruel bullying towards Sam.

Word of Megan’s behaviour and actions reach the Rovers, with Ben (Aaron McCusker), Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and murderous Maggie (Pauline McLynn) left reeling.
The question is: will any of the clan take action to gather evidence in a bid to ensure Megan pays for what she has done?
Or will they go even further in a bid to get revenge?
