Why ‘Sheriff Country’ & ‘Fire Country’ Are On Hiatus for 10 Weeks & When They’ll Return with New Episodes

Fans of the two Friday night CBS hits Sheriff Country and Fire Country will not be happy with this news!

If you don’t know, both series will air brand new episodes tonight at their regularly scheduled times of 8pm ET and 9pm ET.

However, after tonight, both shows will be on hiatus for several weeks!

Both Fire Country and Sheriff Country won’t be back with new episodes until Friday, February 27, 2026!

So, why the long wait from now until then? While it may seem like a while, it’s actually very common for TV shows to take breaks for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holidays. All of CBS’ shows go on hiatus.
