We would like to announce Jesse Spence has suddenly passed away at his home of unknown causes

Stella Kidd isn’t exactly having a good time in Chicago Fire season 14, and it’s not so much fun watching the show put her through the wringer, either. Miranda Rae Mayo’s Chicago Fire character has become one of Firehouse 51’s most important members since her introduction in season 4. Unfortunately, the NBC procedural drama TV series hasn’t treated her as such.

Sure, Kidd has had some truly incredible moments throughout her time on Chicago Fire. Her firefighting career has been a highlight, of course, and so has her relationship with Kelly Severide (even though their romance has surely had its fair share of ups and downs). However, no one can deny the fact that Chicago Fire has been mistreating Kidd in season 14.

Herrmann’s House Fire Highlights The Strain Between Kidd & Isaiah

Isaiah Lashes Out At His Foster Mom In Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 4

Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd and Hero Hunter as Isaiah in Chicago Fire season 14, episode 4NBC

Chicago Fire‘s most recent grievance against Kidd came in season 14, episode 4, when Christopher Herrmann’s house burned down. Many will agree that Herrmann and his family were the true victims of the fire. But Kidd still somehow received some backlash from the tragedy, thanks to her and Severide’s foster child, Isaiah.

When Isaiah learned about the house fire and asked about Herrmann’s son (who is the same age as him), Kidd told him that the young boy would be okay. As it turned out, though, that wasn’t what Isaiah wanted to hear. Unbeknownst to Kidd, her statement seemingly insulted him. Isaiah lashed out at his foster mom for making assumptions about Herrmann’s son’s well-being.

Isaiah undoubtedly has some trauma that caused him to sympathize with Herrmann’s son in Chicago Fire season 14, episode 4. Something likely happened to him, and people assumed he was okay when he wasn’t. However, Kidd didn’t know that. She was simply trying to reassure Isaiah, who also isn’t to blame. He’s just a kid who has been through a lot, after all.
