“It felt like time stopped,” Todd recalled in an emotional interview. “The second I saw her, all the pain, all the nights of praying and worrying just disappeared. I held her and we both just broke down. No words, just tears. It was like we were breathing again for the first time.”

Their love story, tested by separation and suffering, has now become one of redemption and resilience. For nearly two years, Todd and Julie were confined to different federal facilities, unable to see each other, speak directly, or share even a simple touch. The emotional toll was immense.
