KILLER MAGGIE SETS HER DEADLIEST TRAP YET IN CORONATION STREET… AND LAUREN IS NEXT ON HER HIT LIST – WILL ANYONE SAVE HER BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE?! 😱🩸

Out of all the people in Coronation Street to make an enemy of, maybe don’t pick the woman who pushed her husband to his death. But that’s exactly what Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) does when she runs afoul of Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn). Ta-ra, love. It was nice knowing you…

Ever since she first set foot on the Cobbles, it was clear that Maggie was very protective of her family.

When the fiery new proprietor of the Rovers’ Return wasn’t pulling pints, she was trading acidic barbs with her co-landlady, daughter-in-law and arch rival Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), who she is convinced isn’t good enough for her son Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker).

Now Maggie’s found a new unsuitable suitor when she disapproves of her grandson Ollie Driscoll’s (Raphael Akuwudike) choice in potential girlfriend – Rovers’ barmaid Lauren.

The cobbles couple have been dancing around each other for a while row with some back and forth flirting over the bar, leading to Ollie finally asking a delighted Lauren on a date.

But Lauren better watch out. Because Maggie will go to desperate measures to do what’s best for her family, like the time she saw her grandson Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson Wale) brutally assault Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard) in a jealous rage and kept it secret. Or when she humiliated Eva in front of the family and their guests by revealing that she’d previously terminated a pregnancy. And did we mention how she killed her husband?

Last year’s special episode at Christmas revealed how Maggie pushed her husband Alan down the stairs during a blazing row about her affair, accusing her of controlling and manipulative behaviour.

For years, Maggie has maintained that Alan’s death was a tragic accident, keeping her murderous secret for decades all in the name of family.

Be afraid, Lauren. Be very, very afraid. Upcoming episodes will see Maggie meddle in her grandson’s burgeoning relationship by doing what Maggie does best – by throwing more shade than the moon.

When Ollie invites Lauren for dinner at the bistro, she’s over the moon. But a disapproving Maggie is quick to stick her nose in and makes a thinly veiled threat, reminding Lauren that she wouldn’t have a job if it weren’t for her.

Lauren’s left gutted by Maggie’s words. Will she still go ahead with her date?
