It’s the moment he’s been preparing for since he got back from his first training in Sacramento, and he’s ready to show everyone how to proactively stop Edgewater from burning. However, Manny’s leadership decisions rub a lot of the other brass on the scene the wrong way, and it’s unclear if Manny is seeing the field clearly or if he’s flying by the seat of his pants and putting everyone’s lives in danger in the process.
At the end of the episode, multiple lives are in jeopardy, and Eve’s (Jules Latimer) super green Three Rock Crew are on the frontline of the encroaching fire. To make matters worse, Landon (
Josh McDermitt) is still walking free after being questioned about his involvement in the Zabel Ridge fire and looking to make someone pay for him being a suspect. Tyler (
Connor Sherry) is stuck in an inferno with Bode (Max Thieriot) after sneaking onto the scene, which leaves Chloe (Alona Tal) unprotected as the firefighters try to put out the increasing flames. The midseason finale sets up an intense return in the new year, and many of our firefighters may never be the same after all of this.
