Emmerdale star shares ‘love you’ message to co-star in adorable baby update
Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins has shared a “love you” message to her co-star. The Victoria Sugden actress gave birth to her first child last week at the same time her character’s exit scenes played out on-screen. Isabel announced last year she was expecting her first child with her husband Adam Whitehead.
The couple tied the knot last summer and announced the news a baby was on the way shortly after. The actress informed fans she had given birth to her new bundle of joy last week.
She shared a video of herself from hospital singing to her tummy, before the screen switched to a blank page. Isabel wrote: “On the 11th of February at 1.02am….”
The sound of a baby crying could be heard as she added: “Georgie Grace Whitehead. 11.02.26. 8Ibs 5oz” with pink love heart emojis.
The post was followed up by a polaroid photo of Isabel holding her new born. She captioned the heartwarming post: “And then we heard you.”
Isabel’s Emmerdale co-stars rushed to the comments to send their love and support after the beautiful announcement. Laura Norton, best known for playing Kerry Wyatt on Emmerdale, said: “Best ever. So happy for the three of you.”
Laura has also shared her support with a heartwarming gesture. The soap actress sent new parents Isabel and Adam a box of food from a brand called “The Cook Kitchen”, which provides ready-made meals for the couple while they are busy caring for their newborn.
Isabel took to Instagram to say thank you to her Emmerdale co-star for the gift, as she posted a photo of the box and said: “Thank you so much! So grateful. Love you @laura_norts.”
Laura responded via a story on Instagram as she said: “Taking a little load off. Love you all.”
Isabel has kept her followers updated on her life as a new mum since she welcomed baby Georgie Grace into the world last week. She recently shared a video to her story of her singing to her adorable newborn. Her husband Adam also shared the video, adding a pink love heart emoji.
Adam shared his own pictures to Instagram of Georgie Grace last week. He said: “My greatest achievement. Watching my Isabel bring our GG into the world will stay with me forever. I have never been prouder. And yes… I fainted. Twice. Thankfully she’s the strong one.”
Reacting to Adam’s post, Isabel wrote: “You’re amazing. We love you” and Emmerdale’s Eden Taylor-Draper added “Oh Adsy”, alongside a heart emoji. Other replies came from Laura Norton, who wrote: “You fainted? Adam”, alongside a red heart emoji.
While Isabel takes a break from Emmerdale, fans will be pleased to know this isn’t the end of Victoria Sugden and she will be returning to the soap in the future. She recently celebrated reaching 20 years on Emmerdale.
On Instagram in October, she wrote: “Can’t believe I’ve entered my 20th year on Emmerdale. So many memories, amazing people, and stories over the years.”
