Emmerdale Horror as Charity Dingle’s DNA Secret Threatens to Destroy Everything
Emmerdale fans are bracing for devastating scenes as Charity Dingle’s web of lies begins to unravel. Her growing baby bump is set to expose a shocking truth that could shatter her family — and her future — forever.
Charity’s Terrifying Secret
In upcoming Emmerdale episodes, Charity (Emma Atkins) faces the consequences of her biggest lie yet. The Dingle matriarch agreed to act as a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), who are desperate to have a baby after Sarah’s hysterectomy.
But there’s a dark secret lurking behind Charity’s kind gesture. Around the same time as the embryo transfer, Charity slept with her ex, Ross Barton (Michael Parr), betraying both her husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and the young couple counting on her.
Now, with her pregnancy advancing, Charity is terrified the baby she’s carrying might not be the implanted embryo at all — but Ross’s biological child.
Panic at the Scan
In tense scenes set to air soon, Charity’s nerves spiral ahead of a crucial scan. When cousin Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) innocently stokes her anxiety, Charity lashes out at Sarah and Jacob during a casual chat about babies resembling their fathers.
Trying to hide her panic, Charity later claims the scan has been “cancelled”, breaking Sarah’s heart. But when Chas presses her, Charity confesses everything — she’s terrified the truth will come out if doctors notice something wrong during the scan.
Despite Chas’s attempts to reassure her, the guilt becomes unbearable. At the hospital, Charity can barely look at the screen as the sonographer begins the examination, convinced the DNA truth will be revealed.
