Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has shared another glimpse at her recent break as she posed with her famous husband after ditching the UK.

The actress, who hails from Eccles, Salford, and is famed for playing Maria Windass in the ITV soap, took to social media last week and revealed she had swapped a rainy Manchester for a sunny Dubai as she enjoyed the latest half-term break with her family.

In the string of sun-soaked images, Samia could be seen sporting a black two-piece bikini and dipping her toes into the sea as the sun was seen setting in the distance. “Golden hour. Shukran aràka Dubai,” she captioned the post which was then quickly flooded with comments.

Samia’s Corrie co-star Sally Carman-Duttine replied: “Beautiful,” while former castmate Helen Flanagan posted a simple love heart eyes emoji in the comments section.

The soap star has since returned to social media with more photos from her trip with her husband, ice dancer and Dancing on Ice star Sylvain Longchambon, and their son, Yves.

Alongside the carousel of images, which included the trio enjoying meals out and seeing Samia sunbathing by the pool, wrote: “It was so good to swap the UK weather for a bit of sun , why does the time on holiday seem to go twice as fast though?”

Former Corrie co-star Angela Lonsdale was quick to respond, as she said: “Gorgeous! My faves! Looks amazing! See you this week!” while current castmate Tina O’Brien also replied: “[heart emojis] looks gorgeous.”

And her followers were also keen to share their compliments. @joanneclaire.usher commented: “Your hair looks lovely wavy. Beautiful photos, gorgeous family.” @michellewardingley wrote: “Fantastic looks amazing Samia.” the_saint1957 posted: “Gorgeous pics samia looks fantastic in Dubai.” @xjeankellyx added: “Beautiful pictures and precious memories made.”

As previously mentioned, Samia is best known for playing Maria Sutherland – now Maria Windass, but once Connor – in Corrie. She first arrived in Weatherfield as Maria in 2000, having beaten Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh and Hear’Say star Suzanne Shaw to land the role.

In May last year, Samia was seen celebrating 25 years on the famous cobbles. She shared a picture from when she joined Corrie alongside a more photo of herself outside Audrey Roberts’ salon on the street, the soap star wrote on Instagram: “25 years today since ‘Maria’ first stepped onto the cobbles @coronationstreet.

“Feeling nostalgic going through old photos.. this is my first cast card from 2000 and then my latest one!” She added: “Thanks to my Corrie family for having me be a small part of our very special show. Always grateful for the memories, and looking forward to making more! #coronationstreet #25.”
