Happy Thanksgiving! For soap fans looking to watch a good episode while they’re putting the finishing touches on dinner, CBS will be airing all three daytime dramas today. So if you need to escape or cool down from a football game, the network has you covered. But don’t expect reruns on Black Friday. CBS Daytime Soaps will be preempted. New episodes will resume on Monday, December 1.

Key Takeaways

  • The Young and the Restless takes viewers back to Hawaii.
  • The Bold and the Beautiful hosts a fashion showdown.
  • Beyond the Gates returns to the Articulettes concert.Danny and Christine Get Married for the First Time
In a special treat, Y&R is transporting fans back to November 16, 1990, for the first wedding of Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell). It’s been 35 years since they tied the knot in Hawaii. Although time had taken them down different paths, they found their way back to each other in 2023 and have been making up for lost time ever since.

Now that they’ve remarried in a beautiful ceremony that saw Danny’s son, Daniel (Michael Graziadei), perform a duet with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), it’s only fitting that the soap looks back at how far they’ve come. Much has changed in the couple’s lives since then, but the love has remained the same.

Watch Michael Damian and Lauralee Bell reminisce about the 1990 wedding in an episode of Y&R Insider:

Eric and Ridge Forrester Clash in Stunning Fashion
In a re-run, which may hint at a future dust-up between Eric (John McCook) and his son, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), B&B will air their fashion showdown from October 2023.

This was back during Eric’s mysterious illness storyline that saw the patriarch and world-renowned fashion designer pushing himself to create a legacy collection before he died. At the time, Forrester Creations only had the money to put forward one couture line. He and Ridge were vying for the spot.

Ridge was rubbing his father the wrong way by insisting that he embrace retirement and let him worry about the day-to-day operations at the family business. But Eric felt put out to pasture and aimed to show his son that he had more art and beauty left in him to give to the world.

The fashion show they put on in the salon brought the likes of American icon Marie Osmond to B&B. She played Countess Von Frankfurt in the episode. Y&R’s Tracey Bregman and Kate Linder (who attended the DWTS 2025 finale!) appeared as Lauren Fenmore and Esther Valentine as well.

Anita Honors Barbara’s Memory at the Articulettes Concert
BTG has taken fans back to the spectacular reunion concert the Articulettes put on in August. For Thanksgiving, the soap’s rerun is a nice nod to the holiday spirit.

In a surprise reveal, Anita (Tamara Tunie) shared with the audience that there had been a fourth founding member of their group, Barbara Mitchell. Her stirring memorial was an emotional part of the concert and helped to heal the hurt between Anita, Sharon (Bonita Brisker), and Tracy (Maria Howell).

Anita’s acknowledgement of Barbara’s legacy also paved the way for the plot twist that would bring Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) into her life as more than the woman at the center of her daughter Nicole’s (Daphnée Duplaix) broken marriage.
