HEARTBREAKING NEWS!! Janelle Brown moved millions to tears as she revealed the final gift from her late son, Garrison: “For nearly two years, he has still been protecting his mom”—a revelation that left the world hushed in reverence for the sacred bond between mother and child.
Janelle Brown‘s son Garrison may have passed away almost two years ago, but over the holidays she received a touching gift from him that she thought was gone forever.
The Sister Wives star took to social media on Monday (Dec. 29) to reveal that she had uncovered a memory card with thousands of photos taken by Garrison, some of which she had never seen before. On Instagram, Brown shared a video as she scrolled through the many photos.
“The holidays are a tender time when you have lost a loved one. So I want to share something cool that happened,” Brown began her post.

She continued, “The cousin who was given Garrison’s camera found a treasure trove of photos on the SD cards. Before Garrison’s life became heavier and his addiction took hold, he spent a lot of time taking photos, especially of the night sky.”
The collection of images included numerous photos from nature, from landscape pictures to nighttime silhouettes, as well as some of Garrison himself. Brown went on to say that she knew the pictures existed but had no idea where they were stored.
“I KNEW there had to be tons of photos, but we didn’t know what had happened to them. Now they are found!!!” Brown wrote. “My son Logan said to me ‘mom there’s hundreds if not thousands.’ I was so happy. I now can look through them all, anytime I want to. So many he is in. Frozen in time , happy.”
Garrison unexpectedly died by suicide in March 2024 at the age of 25. Since then, the family has worked to keep his memory alive.
“Sometimes it doesn’t seem like you’re gone. And then I remember I won’t be getting a call or text from you and it all comes rushing back,” Brown wrote in a tribute, shortly after his passing. “I know you fought hard but in the end you just couldn’t stay. I love you so much and will see you again when my journey is done.”
