Coronation Street airs the first signs of trouble for Jodie Ramsey tonight – as Bethany Platt seems uneasy over her manipulative behaviour. Could the tables start to turn on Shona’s scheming sister?

Wednesday’s visit to the cobbles sees Jodie grow bolder with her antics, as she taunts Brian Packham over his missing rare book – and then spots an opportunity to cause misery for Shona too. But while most people are oblivious to what’s going on under their noses, Bethany could prove to be a problem for Jodie in the long run…

Earlier this week, Corrie revealed that Jodie was responsible for sneaking into Bernie Winter-Alahan’s home and cutting her face out of her wedding photo. She also recently broke into The Kabin to steal a book belonging to Brian.

As Brian continues to fret over the robbery tonight, Jodie cheekily suggests that the book could have just been the start – with worse to come from the mystery criminal. While most people aren’t taking the break-in seriously, Brian is horrified by Jodie’s sly insinuations.

Later, Shona invites Jodie to join her for a pamper day at Audrey’s salon, wanting to thank her for being so helpful since moving to Weatherfield. Jodie is delighted to be centre of attention as Shona makes a toast to her, but her joy turns to jealousy when the other guests praise Shona and David as the perfect couple.

With Shona’s wedding ring on the side as she’s having a manicure, Jodie eyes it up and starts to plot…

Returning to No 8 later on, Shona frets that she’s lost the ring. Jodie feigns concern and promises to help Shona look for it, but Bethany is watching closely and starts to suspect that she isn’t all she seems.

With Jodie even making Bethany feel unwelcome at the Platt house, the tension is bubbling away under the surface, even if Bethany can’t quite put her finger on it…

Is Bethany in danger of becoming Jodie’s next target? Or could she be the one who uncovers her true agenda?
