The controversial couple, Emma and Ziad, has undoubtedly brought down one of the most explosive, dramatic arcs this season. TLC introduced these two as the new couple in the Before The 90 Days Season 8 lineup.

Since then, they have created one of the franchise’s most dramatic and dysfunctional storylines. From their very first meeting, Ziad was indifferent and made Emma cry. Their relationship was on turbulent waters from then on. Gradually, their relationship would take one step forward and three steps back. However, after Emma’s recent confession to Ziad, things took a very dark turn. That too, to the point of no return.

Needless to say, it has created the loudest buzz in the reality TV community over the last few days. The fandom might remember that Ziad took Emma on a romantic desert retreat for her birthday.

However, the mid-season trailer following the desert date is painting a completely different picture. The clip showed Emma getting a call from her ex, Mohammed, while filming. This is the Moroccan guy she originally signed up for the show with. The next clip showed Emma revealing how she thought she might see his ex-fiance. Emma went out to a restaurant to meet her Moroccan ex-fiance. Many fans pointed out that this was basically micro-cheating.

Although things were starting to look up for 90 Day Fiance stars Ziad and Emma, there was still ample tension. Emma thought that, after they spent a steamy night together, things would get better. That was because Ziad was treating her the same way he did online. That subsequently made Emma elated and hope for a ring soon.

However, Ziad seemed increasingly unsure and uncomfortable as their time together progressed. After Ziad took Emma out on a romantic desert retreat for her birthday, things started to go sideways. Emma took Ziad’s distant attitude as pre-proposal jitters. But since that didn’t happen, she finally came clean about her Moroccan ex-fiance.

It was visibly hard for Ziad to digest this piece of information. He felt like she deceived him and was just there to pass the time with another Moroccan guy. Moreover, he said he couldn’t move on with Emma and couldn’t trust her anymore, and he ended up breaking up with her. Emma tried to put up a fight and called Ziad out on his cheating as well. She remarked that she didn’t break up after that, still visited Ziad in Morocco, and sacrificed so much to be with him.

Faced with the truth, Ziad walked away, as Emma trudged after him, trying to get him to talk. She tried the s*x card, but Ziad wasn’t having it. Moreover, heartbroken, she broke down in tears, calling him names. Ziad didn’t even look back as he left Emma stranded in the middle of the desert in an unknown country.
