HOTTEST NEWS TODAY!!! Emmerdale launches brand new channel just hours after ITV soap pulled off air
If you’re a soap fan that loves nostalgia, we’ve got a real treat for you.
Yesterday, ITV’s Emmerdale didn’t air due to coverage of a football match. The X account for the soap then took to their platform to make an announcement for audience members missing their usual trip to the Dales.
Sharing some classic pictures of Emmerdale residents over the years, the soap confirmed that they are now uploading old episodes of the show onto a YouTube account called Rewind.
The instalments so far come from the 90s. If you’re really fancying a trip down memory lane, you can watch their ‘Monthly Marathon’ posts, which feature around 3-4 hours of Emmerdale episodes all at once.
That is a lot of drama in one sitting!
Storylines featuring on the account so far include Sarah giving birth, Donna getting trapped after a tractor crash, and the aftermath of the epic plane disaster.
If you’re wondering if Coronation Street have followed suit, the answer is yes! They also have a Rewind account featuring stories such as Sally flooding Natalie’s house, Jack and Vera’s anniversary, and the Battersbys giving their neighbours hell.
Fans are very much here for the launch of these two new channels, and are already asking for more eras to get uploaded.
Fingers crossed!

As soap lovers get excited about dipping into the Corrie and Emmerdale history books, they are equally as buzzing about the upcoming crossover episode, which will air at the start of 2026.
The worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale will collide for the first time in a one-off celebration of the two most watched soap operas.
Set to be broadcasted on ITV, STV, ITVX and YouTube in early 2026, residents of Weatherfield will join forces with their Yorkshire neighbours in an action packed hour of drama – and we cannot wait.
The instalment, called Corriedale, will mark the start of a new soap power hour schedule, with Emmerdale airing at 8pm and then Corrie following afterwards at 8:30pm.
Following audience research, bosses concluded that 30 minute episodes attracted higher audience figures throughout 2024, and as a result, a new broadcast pattern will be adopted from January.

Both of the soaps are marking the occasion in spectacular style, with the combined production teams embarking on an ambitious stunt set to have everlasting consequences for everyone involved.
