Emmerdale secrets ‘exposed’: Ray’s killer, how Graham survived and Rhona’s caller
There’s some big twists and turns happening on Emmerdale currently, and fans think they’ve figured out what’s really going on.
We’ve had a murder mystery kicking off the week, with suspects teased and a dead body shown. We’ve seen people acting strange, and two rather cryptic phone calls.
A character returned from the dead after six years too, while one villain may have just gone too far. A downfall could be sealed for them, with fans predicting all kinds of secrets and betrayals.
Who does Rhona Goskirk keep speaking to on the phone, and how did her ‘murdered’ ex Graham Foster survive in 2020? Who really killed Ray Walters, and will Joe Tate regret targeting the Sugdens and the Dingles? Here’s all the big theories…
Who killed Ray
Monday’s episode kicked off with a mystery body being dragged across the floor in a sheet, soon revealed to be Ray. It was towards the end of the episode that we had an idea of who might have killed him. Ray’s final expression on his face was one of shock and terror.

It seems he wasn’t expecting his demise. We then saw moments throughout including people crying, people covering their tracks and random conversations.
Viewers think they know who killed Ray though, with a few names being shared. Some believe it’s Dylan, while others suspected Bear and even Arthur Thomas. One fan said: “I feel Dylan killed Ray tbh.”
Another viewer said: “Guys Bear killed Ray,” as a third wrote: “Curveball suspects – Arthur Jai.” A fourth fan said: “What about Ross?” while another posted: “Did Laurel stab Ray to death?”

Joe Tate’s comeuppance
Joe Tate’s days could be numbered on Emmerdale after his latest cruel plan. Fans saw him targeting the Sugdens on Wednesday night, after he spotted Victoria killing her brother John Sugden. Victoria had killed him in self-defence after he turned on her.
Then, Joe targeted Moira Dingle on Thursday, blackmailing Robert Sugden into planting evidence to set her up for Celia Daniels’ crimes. Amid differing theories about why Joe would target Moira, viewers believe his latest actions could spark his final downfall.
One viewer posted: “Hopefully Graham will sort him out. How he’s gotten away with everything is beyond me. OG Kim would never have forgiven him. I want to see Kim and Graham humiliate him, how has he gotten so much passed Kim!”
Another fan wrote: “You’d have thought being chucked from a window would have made him stop being so evil. Need Graham put him in his place or Aaron or Cain.” A third fan said: “Yep I hate him. Hope he leaves soon.”
How Graham faked his death
Graham Foster was helped to fake his own death on Emmerdale, according to fans. During Corriedale on Monday night, Emmerdale fans were reeling as Graham came back from the dead.
He was revealed to be very much alive six years on from his murder. It was a whodunnit at the time, before Pierce Harris was revealed as the killer. His body was shown, so it’s a bit confusing to find out he’s not even dead after all this time.
Fans are predicting he was able to fake his own death after Pierce’s attack. Fans believe either his ex Rhona Goskirk or even Kim Tate may have been behind the secret plan to escape the village.
Taking to social media one fan theorised: “My head canon, is that after he was ‘killed’ by Pierce, Graham pretended to be dead. Off-screen, he phones contacts, and gets them to put make up on him, making his body all pale, so he looks dead. Even that feels like a stretch, but I have no idea how they can justify keeping Graham alive.
“I guess, he faked Joe’s death, him faking his own would be like a walk in the park. He’s a former SAS soldier. This would be like another Sunday for him.” Another fan suggested: “I have never been more confused in my life because he was definitely dead.
“I saw some people saying maybe it’s not actually Graham, maybe a twin. Another theory as you say could be a fake death, clearly, but someone somehow, Kim maybe? Got him away after Pierce attacked him? Although she seems like she’s genuinely grieved him so maybe not.”
Rhona’s mystery caller
Earlier this week we saw Rhona speaking to someone on the phone. She was keeping it from her husband Marlon Dingle, and rushed to put her phone away.
During the call she said: “Have you done it?”. It’s not yet clear what she was talking about and who the caller was. Then on Wednesday, she yet again secretly called someone.
This time the person did not answer, with their identity not shared. She sighed over not being able to speak to the person, and had a desperate message for them.
She was heard telling them: “Call me back as soon as possible please. April is going to the police.” She sounded like this was something that would impact them, despite April planning on reporting Ray and Celia Daniels over her ordeal, including drug dealing and sexual exploitation.
So why would Rhona be so against this, and who would she try to warn? Is it linked to Ray’s murder which is yet to be made public? Viewers are starting to speculate that the return of Rhona’s ex Graham could be tied into the plot, and he’s the one she’s been calling.
