Emmerdale’s Laura Norton marks 10 years with fiancé Mark Jordon in a touching tribute — “Wouldn’t change a thing. What a wild ride.”
A Decade of Love and Laughter
Emmerdale favourite Laura Norton has celebrated a major relationship milestone, sharing a touching tribute to her fiancé, fellow soap star Mark Jordon, as the couple marks 10 years together.
Laura, 42, who has played the fiery and lovable Kerry Wyatt since 2012, took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message alongside a carousel of personal photos. “20 pictures for 10 ridiculously glorious years. Wouldn’t change a thing. What a wild ride @markjordondad,” she wrote, reflecting on a decade of love, laughter, and shared memories.
Laura and Mark first crossed paths on the Emmerdale set back in 2014 when Mark joined the cast as Daz Spencer. Their friendship quickly blossomed into romance, and by 2015, the pair were officially a couple.
Mark, 60, left Emmerdale in 2019 but briefly returned in December 2024, much to fans’ delight. Together, the couple shares two children, son Jesse and daughter Ronnie. Mark also has two older children, Poppy and Joseph, from a previous marriage to actress Siobhan Finneran.
Their relationship has long been admired by fans and colleagues alike, known for its warmth, humor, and resilience both on and off screen.
A Long Engagement and Real-Life Joy
While the couple got engaged several years ago, wedding plans have been repeatedly delayed by life’s twists and turns. “Something just kept happening,” Laura previously told Digital Spy. “Mark got a job away, then coronavirus happened, then I got a dog. I got pregnant. Then I got pregnant again.”
Laughing, she added that her stepdaughter once joked, “It’s the longest engagement in history!” For now, the couple plan to keep things simple, with Laura explaining, “Time has made us go: ‘We don’t have to do anything lavish.’ We just want to be chilled now, maybe keep the wedding small.”
